In Year 6 this week we are busy preparing our hearts and minds for the coming of Christ.
In our RE Topic we considered what expectations are and what expectations we should have in this special season. We looked at different Scripture relating to advent and chose one that reasoned with us. We created our own Advent doors and wrote an illuminated version of the Scripture inside. They look amazing and reflect our thoughts about what we need to do to be prepared for the arrival of ‘The Light’.
We were also busy preparing for our Advent Liturgy on Friday. The children read and sang beautifully; a big thank you to everyone who joined us today.
Finally, we worked as a team to change our Focal point from ordinary time to Advent. I think you’ll agree the children did a fantastic job.

I really liked our liturgy it was very heart warming and peaceful it was really nice and was a nice way to start advent and start it in school too.
